Is it just me or do people no longer look up to their peers in government anymore?

You should of just left the main question in bold lettering, your Additional info is muddled and it shows a lack of real understanding in regard to what you are talking about. Nature is our Nemesis?!?! What the **** are you on about man. The trouble began when man began to think he was better than nature. Man is another animal, we are nature, we simply wouldn't be here if it wasn't for nature. How on earth can you say nature is our Nemesis?!?!? We are nature's Nemesis more like. Man has inflicted massive harm to mother earth in the last 200 odd year. SO you greatly lack a perspective on all of this. Why do people not look up to politicians? Who said we should? We elect them to REPRESENT US, not to go and act out of their own self interest. If they aer not representing, we have every reason to complain. Besides, a political system was already in place when I was born. I was never asked 'do you think this is the correct way to run the planet?'. I'd of said no, of course so that's why I can't look up to them. For example, W Bush was asked by his people dying in New Oreals to help them, he didn't. Cruelty indeed. Too busy war mongering. No why the heck shuld I look up to any man that exhibits those traits.
