Why being so much cultured sucks?

Ok here it is. I came to Mauritius about 1and a half year ago. Since then this " Being Indian" is bothering me a lot. I went in that school and was able to change almost everything, my behavior, my accent, my thinking but was not able to change my parents. They are just pure indian, full of culture, full of orthodox thinking and all that. I don't have any mobile, iPod, nothing. I am not supposed to spend money for my fun except on my needs. My father is always like exited when we go out. My mum is just not of my type, she offends me and i offend her thinking. Help me plzzz
