A question concerning veganism?

Is it really necessary to give yourself a label? If it is to you, then by definition of what a vegan is you would not be one. By definition you would be an ovo-vegetarian, meaning a vegetarian that eats eggs. But really that only matters if it means a lot to you to be named a vegan. A lot of vegans work really hard to live by the strict standard of what a vegan is so many feel strongly that you would be misrepresenting them if you claimed vegan and still ate eggs, but really no one can tell you what to call yourself.
