Religion and Spirituality: When your child is born, does it take on the religion you belong to yourself?

Good question. I am raising my children to know God, and hopefully to read the Bible. My oldest does read the Bible on occasion, a children's version. I was raised Atheist and it didn't do me any favours. I believe my life would have been somewhat different if I had known God early on. I believe as parents we should teach them to know God, but not force any other religious ideas on them. It's really a fine line as I fear that too much might push them away but too little and I am doing them a disservice. It is my job to teach them wring from right, what could be more right than God?
