Alton towers rides!!?

i love rides at alton towers. i love going on air, Nemesis and oblivion, however when i go in july with my fiends,they want to go on spinball whizzer and i think it looks the scariest of all. is it really as bad as i think it is? and i want to be a fast track ticket, which one would you say was best value. i like big rides, however i also enjoy runaway mine train, the flume and the rapids.
